Men's Basketball Drops 101-78 Contest To No. 24 Ferris State

RECAP: Northwood men's basketball dropped a 101-78 contest to No. 24 Ferris State Monday night (January 24).
FIRST HALF
- Ferris State used a 15-2 run in the opening half to go up 23-10 with 12:06 remaining.
- The Timberwolves battled back from that 13-point deficit, eventually cutting the FSU lead to 48-42 at the break.
- Both teams had similar shooting numbers in the half – NU finished at 47.1 percent .
- Ferris State ended the half at 43.3 percent (13-30). LSSU was 5-14 from the 3-point line and 4-6 from the foul line.
SECOND HALF
- Northwood continued to chip away at the lead early in the second half, getting back within three at 55-52 with 16:24 remaining.
- The Bulldogs' lead was 80-70 with under seven minutes remaining when FSU took control, scoring 21 of the final 29 points to win the game by 23 points.
- Northwood fell back to 36.4 percent in the second half, going 12-33 overall. NU was 5-14 from 3-point range and 7-9 from the foul line.
- The Bulldogs were 20-38 on their field goal attempts in the second half, good for 52.6 percent. FSU was 3-6 from beyond the arc and 10-12 from the foul line.
