RECAP: Northwood men's basketball dropped a 77-59 contest at Northern Michigan Saturday afternoon (January 29).

FIRST HALF

Northern Michigan hit the first shot of the game, a 3-pointer, and would lead throughout the game.
The Wildcats led by as 14 before Northwood chipped away at the lead, cutting the advantage to 29-20 with less than three minutes remaining in the half
Northern Michigan finished the half strong, however, scoring nine of the final 10 points to make the halftime score 38-21.
The Timberwolves struggled offensively in the first half, going 8-32 overall (25.0 percent). NU was 2-7 from the 3-point line and 3-4 from the foul line.
NMU ended the opening 20 minutes at 44.8 percent from the floor (13-29). The Wildcats were 3-7 from the 3-point line and 9-12 on free throws.

SECOND HALF

Northwood played better in the second half but were only able to get as close as 14 points after the break.
The Wildcats' biggest lead proved to be 22 points (63-41).
The Timberwolves improved their shooting dramatically in the second half, going 16-27 from the floor (59.3 percent). NU went 4-7 from the 3-point line and 2-4 from the foul line.
Northern Michigan ended the half shooting 46.7 percent (14-30) overall. The Wildcats were 2-9 from the 3-point line and 9-13 from the foul line.
