FIRST HALF
- The majority of the opening half was tightly contested – SVSU held a 21-19 lead with less than six minutes remaining in the opening 20 minutes.
- The Cardinals used an 8-0 run late to go up 33-21.
- Saginaw Valley State eventually led 38-27 at halftime.
- Northwood struggled with their shooting in the first half, going 7-33 overall (21.2 percent). The Timberwolves were 2-11 from the 3-point line but did make 11-13 from the foul line.
