• The opening half was closely contested, with the largest lead for either team standing at seven points.
• Northwood led 28-27 with under five minutes remaining when the Lakers scored eight straight points to go up 35-28.
• GVSU's lead stood at 37-30 at the break.
• Northwood shot the ball well in the opening half, finishing at 50.0 percent from the floor (14-28). The Timberwolves were 2-6 from the 3-point line and 0-2 at the foul line.
