GAME STORY

Kentucky Wesleyan scored the first two points of the game less than two minutes in and did not allow Northwood to lead in the opening half
KWC led 15-12 when the panthers went on a run, putting up 13 of the next 15 points to take a 28-14 lead. That matched their biggest advantage of eh first half.
Northwood did finish the half strong, scoring the final seven points to make the score 34-27 at the break.
Kentucky Wesleyan pushed their lead back up to as many as 13 in the second half, but the Timberwolves were the better team down the stretch to force overtime.
Trailing 57-47, Northwood posted a 10-0 run to tie the score 57-57 with under five minutes remaining.
NU took their first lead of the game with the score 63-62 with 1:01 remaining.
The Panthers connected on a pair of free throws with 12 seconds remaining, which sent the game to overtime with the score 64-64.
Overtime was tight throughout – with the largest lead for either team standing at three points.
Northwood led 71-70 with 1:30 remaining when the Panthers scored four straight points to lead by three with 21 seconds remaining.
