RECAP: Tenth-ranked Hillsdale uses a second-half run to put away Northwood men's basketball in an 87-69 Charger win Thursday (January 12).
GAME STORY
- The early portion of the game was evenly played - Northwood lead 14-13 with 11:25 to go in the first half.
- Hillsdale led 21-18 with under eight minutes remaining when the Chargers went on a run. HC put up eight straight points to take an 11 points lead at 29-18.
- The Chargers led by as many as 15 before NU came back to make it 44-34 at the break.
- Northwood started the second half strong, cutting the lead down to five at 50-45 at the 15:26 mark.
- Hillsdale led 60-53 with 11:15 remaining when the Chargers scored seven straight points to make the lead 14.
- The final big run of the game came for Hillsdale with the Chargers up 72-60, as HC put up nine straight points to take their biggest lead of the game at 81-60.
- NU got no closer than 16 before the Chargers won 87-69.
