Kentucky Wesleyan converted a layup two seconds into the game and held the lead the rest of the game.
The Panthers opened the game with a 10-2 run over the first 3:06 of the game.
KWC continued to build the lead the remainder of the half, eventually holding a 41-15 lead at the break.
After Kentucky Wesleyan's lead grew to as many as 32, Northwood played better down the stretch. The Timberwolves eventually out-scored the Panthers 38-34 in the second half.
The 22-point margin at the end of the game was as close as the Timberwolves got in the final 20 minutes.
