Men's Basketball Drops Tough 66-64 Contest To Findlay

RECAP: A big early second half run keys a hard-fought 66-64 win for Findlay over Northwood men's basketball Thursday night (January 26).
GAME STORY
- The Timberwolves got off to a strong start, scoring seven of the first nine points over the opening 3:05 of the game.
- Findlay did lead by two briefly, but Northwood went on to lead the majority of the opening half.
- A late 13-0 run for the Timberwolves pushed the lead to 12 at 33-21.
- UF connected on a 3-pointer as time expired to make the halftime score 33-24.
- That 3-pointer at the buzzer sparked a run for the Oilers that continued into the second half, as Findlay scored 20 of the first 24 points after the break to take a 44-37 lead.
- Trailing by six with under six minutes remaining, Northwood responded. NU went on a 9-2 run to go up 60-59 with 3:25 remaining.
- The Timberwolves led 62-61 with 45 seconds to go when Findlay converted a jumper to go up by one.
- NU had two free throws with 20 seconds remaining down by one but were unable to convert either of them.
- Down by two with six seconds remaining, Northwood went the length of the floor but missed a shot at the buzzer to give the Oilers the win.
