GAME STORY

The opening 20 minutes were extremely close – both teams led by six for the biggest advantage for either side.
TNU scored the final points of the half to take a 38-33 lead at the break.
Both teams stayed close in the second half as well – Trevecca held the biggest lead for the half at five points.
The Timberwolves nearly earned the victory in regulation, leading by four with under 90 seconds remaining.
But the Trojans scored the final four points to force overtime.
Trevecca pushed their lead to five in overtime, but Northwood did not go away, making the score 77-75 with 13 seconds remaining.
The Panthers made one of two free throws in the final seconds to go up three. NU was unable to go the length of the floor to get the tying points, giving Trevecca Nazarene the win.
The free throw line proved to be the key to the contest, as the Trojans out-scored Northwood 27-6 at the line. NU made seven more field goals and four more 3-pointers in the game.
