Men's Basketball Earns Thrilling 60-58 Win Over Findlay

RECAP: Northwood men's basketball earns a dramatic 60-58 win over Findlay Thursday night (January 18).
GAME STORY
- Northwood came out fast to start the game, opening the contest with an 8-0 run.
- The Timberwolves continued to control the play for the majority of the half, eventually going up 24-11 with under seven minutes remaining.
- UF then went to a zone defense, which allowed the Oilers to go on a run. UF posted nine straight points to make the score 24-20 with less than three minutes to go in the half.
- The Northwood lead eventually stood at 29-24 at the break.
- The Timberwolves got their advantage back up to as many as eight early in the second half, but the Oilers fought back.
- Findlay took their first lead of the game at 54-53 with 4:31 remaining.
- With the Oilers on top 56-55, Northwood scored five straight points to take a 60-56 lead with 1:14 to go.
- NU was still on top 60-58 with 2.7 seconds remaining. Findlay inbounded the ball from underneath their own basket and threw a length of the court pass. UF executed a last-second play well and got off a 3-pointer at the buzzer, but it was no good, giving the Timberwolves the win.
