Men's Golf Places Sixth At GLIAC South Tournament

The Northwood University men's golf team finished sixth at the GLIAC Spring Invitational Sunday afternoon (April 21).

The two-day, 36-hole event was held at the Winding Hollow Golf Club.  The course played at 6,870 yards (par 72).

Northwood shot team scores of 315 and 324 to finish at 639 overall.  Wayne State was the overall winner at 611, followed by Ohio Dominican at 619.  A total of 13 teams took part in the event.

Leading the way for Northwood was Robert Marsh (Bay City, Mich. / Delta College).  He carded rounds of 78 and 79 to finish at 157 overall, good for a tie for 22nd. Bruce Eccleton (Saginaw, Mich. / Mott CC) tied for 30th with rounds of 77 and 82. A total of 76 players took part in the event. 

The Timberwolves will compete at the GLIAC Preview Tournament April 26-27.
