Men's Golf Places Fourth At Fall Midwest Regional

EUREKA, MO. – The Northwood University men's golf team placed fourth out of 24 teams at the Fall Midwest Regional Monday and Tuesday (October 12-13).

The two-day, 36-hole event was held at the Fox Run Golf Club. The course played as a 6,979 yard par 72.

Northwood shot team scores of 308 and 307 to finish at 615 overall. Ferris State was the overall winner at 606, followed by Lewis (609) and host Missouri-St. Louis (610).

Leading the way for Northwood was senior Paul Ostby (Mt. Morris, Mich./ Mott CC) who landed on the all-tournament team by placing in the top-five overall. He carded rounds of 75 and 74 to finish at 149 overall, good for a tied for fourth overall. Junior Kory Roberts (Battle Creek, Mich./G.R.C.C) narrowly missed out on the All-Tournament team by finishing one stroke behind Ostby at 150 (74-76), which tied him for seventh overall. A total of 120 players took part in the event.

Northwood will finish the fall portion of their schedule at the Cedarville Fall Invite October 19-20.
