Men's Golf Finishes Sixth At GLIAC Spring Invitational

LEXINGTON, K.Y. – The Northwood University men's golf team placed sixth at the GLIAC Spring Invitational Friday and Saturday (March 25-26).

The two-day, 36-hole event was held at the Andover Golf & Country Club. The course played as a 6,950 yard, par-72.

Northwood shot team scores of 312-307 to finish at 619. Grand Valley State was the overall winner at 597 (307-290), while Tiffin placed second at 603 (308-295). A total of 13 teams took part in the tournament.

Leading the way for Northwood was Kory Roberts (Battle Creek, Mich./Grand Rapids CC). He shot rounds of 74-71 to finish with a one-over par total of 145. That was good for a tie for second place overall. Paul Ostby (Mt. Morris, Mich./Mott CC) tied for 28th at 156 (78-78). A total of 75 players took part in the event.

Northwood will travel to the third Midwest Regional at the Jewell in Batavia, Ohio April 2-3.
