Men's Golf Earns Fifth Place Finish At Hawkshead Links Invitational
OVERVIEW – HAWKSHEAD LINKS INVITATIONAL
LOCATION: Hawkshead Links – South Haven, Mich. (Par 72 – 6,998 yards)
RECAP: Northwood leads after opening round before settling for a fifth place finish at the Hawkshead Links Invitational Saturday-Sunday (September 29-30).
INSIDE THE EVENT
- Northwood shot team scores of 285 and 307 to finish at 592 overall.
- Grand Valley State (292-292) was the overall winners at 584, followed by Wayne State (289-297=586) and Drury (293-294=587).
- NU held a four-shot lead after the opening round with their score of 285, which stood up as the best score of the tournament.
- A total of nine teams took part in the event.
TOP NU PERFORMERS
- Jagger Richard: 66-76=142 – tied for fourth. His first-round 66 tied the school record for low round.
- Austin Deiters: 73-72=145 – tied for ninth
- James Staab: 75-79=154 – tied for 33rd
- A total of 54 players competed in the tournament

- Northwood will travel to the Motor City Invitational October 14-15 to conclude the fall portion of their schedule.
