Men's Golf Claims Tournament Title At The Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff

OVERVIEW – SADDLEBROOK SPRING KICKOFF

LOCATION: Saddlebrook Golf Resort – Wesley Chapel, Fla. (Par 70 – 6,480 yards)
RECAP: Northwood men's golf rallies on the final day to earn first place at the Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff Friday-Sunday (March 10-12).

INSIDE THE EVENT

• Northwood was in third place after the opening two rounds after carding team scores of 304-305. NU was six shots behind Walsh (304-299) and two shots back of St. Thomas (295-312).
• The Timberwolves came up big in the final round, however, shooting the lowest round of the event (295) overall and the lowest round on the final day by 10 shots.
• That allowed Northwood to take the overall title at 904, with Walsh placing second at 908 and St. Thomas placing third at 925.
• A total of six teams took part in the event.

TOP NU PERFORMERS

• Viktor Nibell: 74-75-74=223 – Third Place
• David Skobe: 77-74-77=228 – Fifth Place
• Evan Johnson: 83-76-72=231 – tied for Ninth Place
• A total of 41 players competed in the tournament

• Northwood will compete at the SVSU Spring Intercollegiate in Lexington, Kentucky March 19-20.
