Men's Golf Falls In GLIAC Tournament Semifinals To Davenport

OVERVIEW – GLIAC TOURNAMENT (MEDAL MATCH PLAY)

LOCATION:
Augusta, Mich. – Stoatin Brae Golf Club (Par 71 – 6,742 yards)
RECAP: Men's Golf drops a hard-fought match to Davenport in the GLIAC Tournament Semifinals Sunday (April 17).

INSIDE THE EVENT

  • Northwood faced off against Davenport using a medal match play format, meaning the teams five players will play 18 holes in one-on-one contests.
  • In the first match, Northwood's David Skobe earned a four-shot win over Bradley Mogire 70-74.
  • That proved to be NU's lone win, however, as the Panthers won the other four matches.
  • Two matches came down to the final hole tied. Both of which were won by Davenport. If Northwood had won those matches, NU would have advanced to the finals.
  • Davenport advances to face Ferris State in the finals.

NORTHWOOD NOTES

  • This marks the first year Northwood has reached the semifinals of the GLIAC Tournament since the inception of this format in 2019.
