RECAP: Evan Johnson's strong performance leads the way for the Northwood University men's golf team at the SVSU Spring Invitational Saturday-Sunday (March 18-19).

INSIDE THE EVENT

• Northwood placed 10th overall thanks to shooting team scores of 307 and 298 to finish at 605.
• Davenport was the overall winner at 583 (297-286), followed by McKendree (301-285=586) and Maryville (303-287=590).
• A total of 21 teams took part in the event.

TOP NU PERFORMERS

• Evan Johnson: 72-71=143 – tied for second – nine birdies in two rounds
• David Skobe: 79-71=150 – tied for 31st
• Viktor Nibell: 77-77=154 – tied for 70th
• A total of 124 players competed in the tournament
