Men's Soccer Places Three On All-GLIAC Teams

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University men's soccer team placed three players on the All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) team, the league announced Thursday night (November 2).

James Vaughan was named First Team All-GLIAC as a Midfielder. Connor Cole earned Second Team All-GLIAC honors as a Defender, and Brady Cole earned Honorable Mention All-GLIAC honors.

Vaughan has led the offensive attack for the Timberwolves. Vaughan totaled 21 points overall and eight goals through 16 games, which ranks him second in the GLIAC in both categories respectively. He is 4-5 on penalty kicks and notched three game-winning goals going into the weekend.

The Cole brothers have been a staple in the Northwood defense that allowed the fewest goals (7) in conference play. Connor Cole has recorded five points on the season with two goals and one assist. He is also credited with one game-winning goal. Brady Cole notched one goal and one assist this season.

Northwood finished the regular season at 11-3-3 overall and won the GLIAC Championship with a 9-1-2 record in conference play. The Timberwolves will play in the GLIAC Tournament Friday afternoon (November 3) against Davenport. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
