Men's Soccer Loses At Tiffin 3-1

RECAP: Northwood men's soccer drops a 3-1 contest at Tiffin Sunday afternoon (September 12).  

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Both teams used penalties to get on the board in the opening half. The Dragons struck first at the 15:02 mark, converting from the spot to go up 1-0.
  • Late in the half, the Timberwolves leveled the score. Charlie Evans converted his penalty to make the score 1-1 at the break. Tiffin held a slim 5-3 edge in shots while holding a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.
  • The score remained tied until a key stretch seven minutes in when the Dragons took over with a pair of goals in quick succession. TU scored at 52:07 and 55:30 to make the score 3-1.
  • Those proved to be the only goals of the second half. The Dragons were the better team after the break, finishing with a 12-5 edge in shots.
