RECAP: The Northwood men's soccer team returned to competition versus the Lake Erie storm Wednesday (September 14). NU would leave victorious defeating the Storm 2-1.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- A save by Robert Gjelaj that ricocheted into one of Northwood's own would be accidentally kicked back into Northwood's net, 1-0 LEC.
- Northwood would push the pace during the minutes following the own goal. NU would find the back of the net shortly after; Lucas Hart's corner kick would go through the LEC goalkeeper's mitts and onto the right foot of Chase Clark, 1-1.
- In a mostly clean game, both teams were assessed one yellow card a piece (LEC – 41' and NU 89').
- Amedeo Crovasce would score his second of the season behind Andrew Simon's free-kick cross that allowed Crovasce to do a shifty move and put one past the goalie in the 49', 2-1 NU.
