RECAP: The Northwood men's soccer team finished what was a suspended game with Findlay from October 6, Tuesday (October 18) while just playing the second half. 45 minutes is all the Timberwolves would need to match their season-high goals score total (4). Oliver Jarvis would finish with Northwood's first hat trick since April 3, 2021.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

  •  The first half saw a tightly contested match both teams having less than five shots a piece (Northwood – 4, Findlay – 3)
  • At halftime, the weather became an issue as lightning forced the teams to suspend play and reschedule the second half.
  • As play would resume, on October 18, Northwood would look like a different team, as Oliver Jarvis put the Timberwolves ahead 1-0, three minutes into the second half. Amadeo Crovasce's pass to the right of the box gave Jarvis enough time to slide it through two defenders and beneath a sliding Findlay goalkeeper, 1-0 NU.
  • The blue and white pushed the pace of the game which had Findlay on their heels. Findlay would get called for a handball in the box a minute later awarding Lucas Hart a penalty kick opportunity which he cashes in on, 2-0 NU.
  • The pace seemed to favor the home team in the cold and rainy weather. A Northwood free kick on Findlay's side allowed Seamus Quinn to cross one over the middle to Jarvis as he headed in his second goal of the day in the 65', 3-0 NU.
  • Jarvis would earn the hat trick by receiving another cross from Chase Clark in the 76'. Clark's pass in front of the goalkeeper went to Jarvis on the other side as he drilled it into the upper right corner, 4-0 NU
  • Northwood's aggressiveness was on full display, outshooting the Oilers 9-2 in the second half.
  • Robert Gjelaj would also record his fourth shutout this season and the eighth of his career.
