Men's Tennis Falls To George Mason 6-1

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Northwood University men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 contest to George Mason Monday night (March 7).

Northwood falls to 1-2 with the loss. George Mason, who competes at the Division I level, improves to 5-4 with the win.

The match was played with Division I rules, which meant the three doubles matches were played to six games and were worth one point overall. George Mason won all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead. The Patriots then won five of the six singles matches. Northwood's lone victory on the day came at the No. 3 slot thanks to a 6-1, 6-3 victory by Konstantin Zhukov.

Northwood will take on Tusculum Tuesday morning (March 8). First serve is set for 8 a.m.
