Men's Tennis Loses To Edinboro 6-3
HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Northwood University men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 contest to Edinboro Wednesday (March 9).
Northwood falls to 1-4 with the loss. Edinboro improves to 10-1 with the win.
The Timberwolves earned the first point of the day with an 8-3 win at the No. 1 doubles position. Edinboro earned a pair of close wins in the final two matches, taking the No. 3 match 8-6 and a 9-7 victory in the No. 2 slot. That put Edinboro up 2-1 heading into singles.
All six singles matches took went two sets, with Northwood coming out on top at the No. 2 and the No. 6 position.
Austin Woody (Midland, Mich./Dow) led the way for Northwood on the day, picking up two victories for the Timberwolves.
Northwood will take on Davis & Elkins Thursday (March 10). First serve is set for 8 a.m.
