Men's Tennis Defeats Chowan 6-3

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The No. 19 Northwood University men's tennis team earned their second straight win Friday (March 11), defeating Chowan 6-3.

Northwood is now 3-4 on the season. Chowan falls to 7-5

The Timberwolves got on the board first in doubles thanks to an 8-1 win at the No. 1 position. The final two matches of doubles were tight, both of which finished with a final score of 9-7. Chowan won the No. 2 match, while Northwood earned the victory at the No. 3 position.

Leading 2-1 heading to singles, Northwood claimed wins at the top-three singles position to clinch the victory. NU also won at the No. 6 slot to round out the win.

On the day, Sebastian Eguez, Austin Woody and Konstantin Zhukov all went 2-0 to lead the way for the Timberwolves.

Northwood will travel to Davenport Friday (March 25) for an 8 a.m. match.
