Men's Tennis Places Four On All-GLIAC Team

2016 All-GLIAC Men's Tennis Teams

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University men's tennis team placed four players on the All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Teams, the league announced Sunday (May 1).

Sophomore Sebastian Eguez (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) and junior Austin Woody (Midland, Mich./Dow) each were placed on the First Team All-GLIAC. Senior Konstantin Zhukov (Kazan, Russia) earned Second Team honors, while David Reinauer (Steinenbronn, Germany) was Honorable Mention.

Eguez went 9-8 at No. 1 singles overall and 6-3 in GLIAC play, while Woody went 13-4 overall at No. 2 singles (7-2 in the GLIAC). The duo combined to go 12-5 at No. 1 doubles (7-2 in the GLIAC). Zhukov finished the year with a 14-3 overall record at the No. 3 singles position (7-2 in the GLIAC) and 8-9 record in doubles (5-4 in the GLIAC). Reinauer went 10-6 overall in singles at the No. 5 and No. 6 position (4-4 in the GLIAC).

Northwood finished the season with a 10-10 record.
