Men's Tennis Earns Bid To NCAA Tournament

NCAA DII MEN'S TENNIS TOURNAMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University men's tennis team earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament Tuesday night (April 24).

This marks the 23rd time in the last 24 years the Timberwolves have reached the NCAA Tournament

There are eight regions in the tournament, with two schools hosting events in each region. The teams that win each sub-regional will qualify for the round of 16, which will take place May 9-12 in Surprise, Arizona.

The Timberwolves are the No. 6 seed in the Midwest.  Northwood will travel to Springfield, Missouri for the first two rounds of the tournament. NU will open up the event with a match against No. 3 seed Ferris State (20-2). The winner of that contest will face either No. 2 Drury (18-4) or No. 7 Grand Valley State (15-8) in the second round. Those matches will take place Monday-Tuesday (April 30-May 1).

Match times will be determined in the upcoming days.
