Men's Tennis Drops 4-2 Match To Findlay At G-MAC Tournament

RECAP: Northwood men's tennis sees its 2023 season come to an end with a 4-2 loss to Findlay in the quarterfinals of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament Thursday (April 20).
INSIDE THE MATCH
- All three doubles matches were evenly played. Northwood (No. 1) and Findlay (No. 3) exchanged 6-4 wins to open the day. The doubles point then came down to the No. 2 match, where the team of Kuzma Zubrii and Mathis Violet came through for the Timberwolves with a 7-6 win. That victory gave the Timberwolves a 1-0 lead heading into singles.
- Findlay responded well in singles, however, winning four of the five matches completed to earn the overall win.
- Violet came through with his second win of the day in singles, taking the No. 5 match in straight sets.
- Leon Grundstrom's match was in the third set when play was halted.
