Jeremy Wilchcombe To Compete At NCAA Division II Outdoor Track National Championships
MIDLAND, MICH. The Northwood University men's track and field team will send junior Jeremy Wilchcombe (Freeport, Bahamas / St. Georges(NU-TX)) to the NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships at Grand Valley State University.
The championships will be held May 21-23 in Allendale, Mich. Grand Valley State University and the West Michigan Sports Commission will serve as hosts of the championships.
Wilchcombe's name is listed throughout the Northwood record book after just one year competing for the Timberwolves. He transferred to Midland after competing for Northwood's Texas campus in 2014. Wilchcombe already has both the indoor and outdoor triple jump records, as well as among the top five indoor and outdoor long jump marks.
His jump of 15.13 meters at the 2015 GLIAC Championships (April 30) currently ranks ninth in the country in the men's triple jump.
The top eight finishers in each event will earn All-America honors. The men's triple jump finals will take place on Friday, May 22 at 4:45 p.m.
