Bio

Dan Westarb is in his first year at Northwood. He begins his career as a graduate assistant coach for the men's and women's track & field programs. Westarb specializes in jumps and multi-event athletes, including the decathlon.

Previously, Westarb, an intern at the Rochester Performance Gym, has been coaching Olympic weightlifting and coaching speed and power development for youth athletes 

A graduate of Saginaw Valley State (2022), Westarb studied exercise science with an emphasis on biomechanics and minored in athletic coaching. He will pursue a master’s in business administration through the DeVos graduate school at Northwood. 

He is a native of Macomb, Michigan.
