RECAP: The Northwood University cross country teams traveled to Lewis University to compete in the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover Saturday morning (October 7).

INSIDE THE MEET

  • The Northwood men were led by junior Dylan Rocha, who finished the 8k course in 26:44.5 for 116th place. Rocha notched a seasonal best.
  • Junior Caleb Barker came in as NU's No. 2 runner with a 173rd place finish. His time of 27:14.2 is a new personal best at the distance by 14 seconds.
  • Freshman Brian Patrick finished in 215th place and set a personal best of 27:28.1. Freshman Hayden Bretzke also achieved a personal best of 28:25.5 for 8k, finishing in 267th place.
  • A total of 361 runners competed in the men's race.
  • The Northwood women were paced in the 6k race by freshman Madison Brooks. Brooks finished in 274th place with a time 25:55.5, which is a new personal best by 56 seconds.
  • Freshman Morgan Bolinger served as NU's No. 2 runner, registering a time of 26:38.2 for 309th place. Bolinger also set a new personal best by 11 seconds.
  • A total of 359 runners competed in the women's race.

UP NEXT

  • Northwood will head to Marquette, Mich. to compete in the GLIAC Championships (October 21), hosted by Northern Michigan University.
