Men's Cross Country Earns Four All-Conference Members As Teams Compete At G-MAC Championships

OVERVIEW – G-MAC Cross Country Championships

LOCATION: Hillcrest Golf Club – Findlay, Ohio

RECAP: Northwood men's and women's cross country began their postseason races with the G-MAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday (November 5).

INSIDE THE WOMEN'S RACE (6,000 METERS)

  • Northwood placed sixth out of 13 schools while finishing with 194 points. 
  • Kameron Haag led the Timberwolves earning a 29th-place finish, setting a new personal record, and moving into 14th place in program history for the 6K.
  • Northwood's runners averaged a sub-24-minute time (23:57) as five runners set new personal bests. 

NORTHWOOD RESULTS:

 

INSIDE THE MEN'S RACE (8,000 METERS)

  • Northwood men's cross country team earned a second-place finish with 70 points just behind Walsh who won with 37. The Timberwolves finished two spots ahead of the preseason poll prediction of fourth.
  • Dillan Haviland led the way for the Timberwolves, finishing fourth amongst 140 GMAC runners. 
  • Seniors Haviland (fourth) and Zane Aldrich (ninth) earned first-team All-Conference honors with their top-10 finishes.
  • Sophomores Preston Earl (15th) and Josh Jones (19th) earned second-team All-Conference honors as they both placed in the top 20.
  • The Timberwolves averaged 25:17 per race and 5:05 per mile.

  • Northwood is set to travel to Wisconsin-Parkside on November 19 for the NCAA Midwest Regional meet as both teams look to continue their postseason run.
