Men Take 7th As Cross Country Competes at NCAA Midwest Regional
OVERVIEW – NCAA MIDWEST REGIONAL
LOCATION: WAYNE DANNEHL COURSE – KENOSHA, WISC.
RECAP: Northwood men's and women's cross country began their postseason races with the NCAA Midwest Regional at Wisconsin-Parkside (November 19).
INSIDE THE WOMEN'S RACE (6,000 METERS)
- Northwood placed 19th out of 33 schools with 583 points.
- Northwood's team total time equated to 2:00:31.62 with finishes of 88, 91,123, 136, 145, 163, and 175.
NORTHWOOD RESULTS:
- Taylor Hopkins – 89th: 23:34.53 – PR – 16th in NU History
- Rachael Sierakowski – 93rd: 23:38.22
- Sarah Zehr– 124th: 24:09.48
- Kameron Haag: 138th: 24:28.89
- Lainey Veenkant – 147th: 24:40.68
- Alyssa Dorn – 165th: 25:30.63
- Hattie Veenkant – 178th: 26:01.85
INSIDE THE MEN'S RACE (10,000 METERS)
- No. 29 Northwood placed seventh overall (203 points) out of the 30 teams competing.
- Led by Dillan Haviland (26th) and Preston Earl (27th) the Timberwolves stayed true to the USTFCCCA Midwest regional rankings earning their seventh-place finish.
- The Timberwolves had four runners set 10k personal bests and three moving into the top 25 history books.
