Men's Cross Country Set To Make History At NCAA's

SEATTLE, WA. – No. 27 Northwood men's cross country is set to race as a team for the first time in program history at the Division II NCAA Championships Friday, December 2. The championship race will be at Chambers Bay in University Place, Wash. The race will be streamed live on NCAA.com beginning at 1 p.m. ET for the men's race. 

Northwood's runners competing include Dillan Haviland (St. Johns, Mich.), Preston Earl (Sterling Heights, Mich.), Northwood's 10K program record holder, Zane Aldrich (Hale, Mich.), Carson Laney (Lapeer, Mich.), Josh Jones (Harrison, Mich.), Brandon Boyd (Canton, Mich.), Sam Smith (Petosky, Mich.), Todd Henley (Hopkins, Mich.), and Lucas Oberle (Lapeer, Mich.).

34 teams per gender were selected for the championships. 24 on each side automatically qualified (three per region, from regional championships) while the remaining 10 for each of the men's and women's championships received at-large bids as Northwood did.
