Men's Cross Country Appears At No. 10 In Latest USTFCCCA Midwest Regional Rankings.

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Northwood men's cross country team landed at No. 10 in the latest installment of the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II Midwest Regional Rankings. The USTFCCCA rankings were released on Tuesday (October 3).

Grand Valley State comes in at No. 1 and Saginaw Valley State one spot behind at No. 2. Northwood was one of three Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) teams that appeared on the list, including Walsh at No. 4 and Cedarville at No. 7.

Recent G-MAC Athlete of the Week honoree Carson Laney led all Timberwolves with a 25-second personal record (PR) at the Live In Lou Classic this past Saturday (September 3). Teammate, Brandon Boyd, also is leading the Timberwolves as he has already won two individual 6K races this season, including the GRCC Raider Invitational on September 15 and the Northwood Invitational on September 9.

Northwood men's cross country team continues their season at the Lewis Crossover on Saturday, October 7. This will be the final meet before the Timberwolves gear up for the conference championships on October 21 at Malone in Canton, Ohio. The men's race begins at 10:30 a.m.
