The Northwood University softball team dropped a 7-2 contest to No. 16 Augustana Tuesday night (March 12).
Northwood falls to 7-4 with the loss. Augustana improved to 8-3 with the victory.
NU's defense let them down in the game, as the Timberwolves committed six errors in the contest. Those errors led to four unearned runs for Augustana.
Lindsay Obremski (Williamsburg, Va./Dubois Area) and Paige Shields (St. Clair Shores, Mich./Regina) drove in runs for Northwood in the game. Obremski had an RBI single in the third while Shields registered an RBI triple in the seventh.
Northwood will take on Southwest Minnesota State and Minnesota State Mankato Thursday (March 14). Game time is set for 9 and 11 a.m., respectively.
