Stacey Klonowski Earns Second Team Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-American Honors

MIDLAND, MICH. – For the second time in her career, senior Stacey Klonowski (Canton, Mich./Plymouth) from the Northwood University softball team has earned Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-America honors.

Klonowski was named Second Team Academic All-American at shortstop for the second consecutive season.

A four-year starter at shortstop, Klonowski will go down as arguably the finest all-around player in Northwood history. She finished her career as NU's all-time leader in home runs (29) and doubles (47). She also ranks second in school history in total bases (356) and hits (214) while ranking third in RBIs (121) and batting average (.370). This season, Klonowski ranked in the top-10 in the GLIAC in doubles, triples, home runs, RBIs, total bases and slugging percentage. She also is a standout defensively at shortstop, where she finished her career with a .951 fielding percentage while turning 51 double plays.

Klonowski recently graduated from Northwood with a degree in Banking & Finance. She graduated with a 3.93 GPA and was named a co-recipient of the women's senior scholar Athlete of the Year at Northwood.
