RECAP: Northwood split a pair of games at Ohio Dominican Sunday afternoon (April 2), with the Timberwolves taking game one 9-1 before the Panthers earned a comeback 4-3 win in the nightcap.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS

• Ohio Dominican got the first run of the game in the bottom of the first inning, but it was all Northwood the rest of the way.
• The second inning proved to be the key to the game, as the Timberwolves plated seven runs on eight hits. Danielle Bartodziej, Hayley D'Avilar, Riley Ostapowicz all had RBI singles in the inning, while Sydni Pauley and Andria Gietl each had run-scoring doubles.
• The only other runs of the game came in the fourth inning. Gietl had another RBI double and later scored on an RBI single by Jennifer Wontorcik.
• Ohio Dominican got at least one runner on base in each of the final three innings of the game, but Vanessa Ewing held them off the board and gave Northwood the win.

• Northwood got off to a fast start in game two, plating a trio of runs in the first inning thanks to a three-run homer by Pauley.
• Ohio Dominican chipped away at the lead the rest of the game, scoring one in the second and one in the fourth to make the score 3-2.
• In the final inning, ODU plated a pair of runs to take the lead for the first time. Northwood had one last chance in the bottom of the seventh but were unable to tie the game.
