Softball Falls In Season Opener To Ohio Dominican 3-2

RECAP: Northwood falls to Ohio Dominican 3-2 in the final inning in the Timberwolves' season opener Saturday (March 3).
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Northwood and Ohio Dominican were scoreless until the fifth inning when Meghan Franz scored the game's first run off of a Lauren Castellon single to put the Timberwolves up 1-0.
- Ohio Dominican did not get their first hit off NU pitcher Taylor Wright until the sixth inning. The Panthers scored a run that inning to bring the game to a 1-1 tie.
- The Timberwolves were able to regain the lead in the top of the seventh inning. Tara Gross drove Castellon home on an RBI single up the middle to make it 2-1.
- Ohio Dominican rallied in the bottom of the seventh on a two-run home run to win the game.
