RECAP: Northwood softball wins a pair of games in Kentucky Friday afternoon (February 26), downing No. 19 Indianapolis 5-1 before picking up a walk-off 5-4 win against Kentucky Wesleyan in 10 innings.

INDIANAPOLIS HIGHLIGHTS

• Northwood got on the board first in the top of the opening inning on a Haley Frank RBI single.
• The Greyhounds responded with a run of their own in the bottom of the inning to tie the game after one.
• The Timberwolves used the long ball the remainder of the game to earn the win, starting with a Haley Frank solo home run in the fourth to put NU up 2-1.
• Tara Gross added a solo homer in the fifth to make the score 3-1.
• Northwood rounded out the scoring in the seventh with a two-run homer by Julia Gross.

• The Panthers got off to a good start in the game, scoring single runs in the first and second innings to lead 2-0.
• The score remained that way until the bottom of the fifth, when Grace Dutoi tied the game on a two-run double.
• The game went to the international tiebreaker in the ninth, when both teams plated single runs to keep the game tied 3-3. NU's run came on a Maddie Coulter sac fly.
• After the Panthers score a run in the 10th to go up 4-3, the Timberwolves wasted no time in earning the win. Julia Gross hit a walk-off homer as the leadoff batter in the inning to give the Timberwolves the win.
