• The game was held scoreless until the bottom of the fifth inning. An RBI double by Emily Mankel scored Delanie Grundman to get the Timberwolves rolling.
• Karlie Moore added an RBI single to center field to give NU a 2-0 lead.
• The Bulldogs plated a run shortly after to cut into the Northwood lead.
• Ferris State was unable to score another run, as Northwood went on to win the game 2-1.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS

• Northwood wasted no time getting on the board in the second game. A Julia Gross two-run home run to center field gave the Timberwolves a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first.
• The Bulldogs added a solo home run in the top of the second.
• Jayna Hance continued the NU scoring in the bottom of the second with an RBI single.
• Gross followed with a two-run scoring single to extend the Northwood lead to 5-1.
• The Timberwolves plated another run as Mankel reached home on a Bulldog throwing error.
• NU added two runs on three hits in the bottom of the fourth. Samantha Slick's single drove home two runs as the Timberwolves took the 8-1 advantage.
• Hance ended the game in the bottom of the fifth. Her RBI single activated the mercy rule, giving Northwood the 9-1 win in five innings.
