RECAP: Northwood softball traveled to Evansville, Ind. to play six games at the Blue Bridge Battle(BBB) hosted by Kentucky Wesleyan. In Northwood's second doubleheader of the weekend, the Blue and White suffered two losses against Ill.-Springfield (9-1) and #14 Indianapolis (1-2).

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS

• Springfield took the early lead in the first behind an error and two singles, 0-1 UIS.
• UIS scored another two in the first following a double, 0-5 UIS.
• Northwood's three errors in the first gave all the momentum to the Stars. UIS would tack on two more after a sac fly and a single, 0-5 UIS.
• Springfield broke the game open in the fourth behind a three-run inning, 0-9.
• Delanie Gale hit her first career home run in the fourth to put Northwood on the board, 1-9 UIS.
• That would end up being the final score as Northwood fell, 1-9.

• Northwood had a chance to take the lead in the second with the bases loaded and one out but could not manage any runs.
• The Greyhounds scored first later in the second after a double to lead off the inning, 0-1 UI.
• Northwood evened the scoring at one-all behind a Gale single that drove home Madison Jordan, 1-1.
• UIndy answered right back with a run of their own in the next half-inning. A double and single made it 1-2 UI.
• Northwood would not be able to answer. NU would fall in a close one, 1-2.
