GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS

  • A true pitcher's duel with Hailey Leister on the mound for the Timberwolves went scoreless through the first five innings.
  • The Dragons would be the first to crack the armor of the opposing pitcher. Tiffin opened the scoring with a two-out two-run homer just inside the left field foul pole to take the lead, 0-2 TU.
  • Moving to the seventh down 0-2, Northwood's first two batters would ground out and pop out. Down to their final out the Timberwolves rallied with a single to left by Lauren Bennett and a double off the top of the right-centerfield wall by Jillian Krawczak.
  • Frank, in dramatic fashion, came up with runners on second and third and two-out. She then lasered one over the left field wall to walk it off for the Timberwolves, 3-2. This was Frank's third home run of the year.
