Schloop Earns G-MAC Softball Player Of The Week
INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – Gabby Schloop was named Softball Player of the Week by the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) this week, Monday (February 19). This is Schloop's first career Athlete of the Week honor and the first for a softball player this season.
Schloop led the Timberwolves to a 3-0 mark at the Music City Invitational (February 16-17) in Smyrna, Tenn over the weekend. In wins over Ferris St. (February 16), Ill.-Springfield, and Davenport (February 17), Schloop went 5-7 for a .714 AVG., a .800 OBP., and a 1.143 SLG while sporting a 1.000 fielding percentage. She also collected a double, triple, four runs scored, a stolen base, two walks, and four RBI, including a walk-off two-run single versus Davenport to notch the program's 900th all-time victory.
Softball is back on the road this weekend (February 23-25) at the 2024 Independence Bank Blue Bridge Battle hosted by Kentucky Wesleyan in Evansville, Ind. The Timberwolves' six-game stint begins Friday (February 23) with a matchup with No. 10 Indianapolis at 11 AM ET/ 10 AM CT.
