RECAP: Northwood softball traveled to Evansville, Ind. for Kentucky Wesleyan's annual Blue Bridge Battle Friday (February 23). The Timberwolves began their six-game stint by dropping both games to #9 Indianapolis,7-0, and Drury, 7-0 one day one.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS

• The Greyhounds' offense showed plate discipline in the first. The Hounds' first three batters drew walks to load the bases. They would eventually tack on the game's first three runs, jumping out to a 3-0 lead.
• Northwood loaded the bases themselves later in the first, but could not muster any scoring, 3-0 UIndy.
• Indy added a few more in the fifth, pushing their lead to 7-0 behind a defensive miscue, three hits, and a walk in the fifth.
• Northwood's offense would remain silent, being shut out by UIndy, 7-0.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS

• In the bottom of the first, the Panthers singled and walked to open their offense. Two batters later they would score the runners from second and third off a single, 2-0 DU.
• Moving to the fifth, Northwood offense continued to struggle, managing just four hits through their first five at-bats. The Panthers would take advantage, scoring five with two outs in the fifth behind five hits including a double and a defensive miscue, 7-0 DU.
• The Timberwolves wouldn't be able to mount a comeback, falling 7-0 to Drury.
