RECAP:  Northwood softball played the first round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament Thursday (May 9). The Timberwolves fell to No. 2 Trevecca Nazarene 8-0 in five innings. 

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS

• The Trojans played long ball early with a two-run shot to center two batters into the game, 2-0.
• One inning later, two walks cost the Timberwolves a few more when another home run extended the Trevecca lead to 5-0 after two.
• An RBI double to left center made it 6-0, Trevecca in the fourth.
• The Trojans tagged another solo homer in the fifth before a two-run single walked the game off on a mercy rule, 8-0.
