Bio

Travis McCurdy is in his 20th season at Northwood. He came to Northwood in the fall of 2003 as the Sports Information Director. In December of 2016, he was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director - Communications.

McCurdy oversees publicity for all 18 sports for the Timberwolves.  He maintains gonorthwood.com and Northwood’s historical records as well as keep statistics for all of the programs. McCurdy produces all game programs and supervises all video and audio webcasts.

In addition to his duties as an S.I.D., McCurdy has served as the host for “Northwood Football Weekly,” a half-hour radio show that airs Thursday nights at 6 p.m. on ESPN 100.9 FM.  He has also served as the host of “Northwood Basketball Weekly” in the winter season and has been the play-by-play voice of the Timberwolves’ men’s and women’s basketball programs.

Prior to his arrival at Northwood, McCurdy spent three years working in the Athletic Media Relations office at Western Michigan University. He graduated from Saginaw Valley State with a degree in communications in 1999.

McCurdy currently resides in Midland.
