Jordyn Nurenberg Named First Team All-GLIAC

2016-17 All-GLIAC Teams

MIDLAND, MICH. – Jordyn Nurenberg (St. Johns, Mich.), a senior on the Northwood University women's basketball team, has been named to the First Team All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) team.

This marks the second straight season Nurenberg has earned First Team All-GLIAC honors.

Nurenberg will go down as one of the finest players in Northwood history, finishing her distinguished career ranked fifth in school history with 1,419 points and second with 801 rebounds. This season, Nurenberg finished the season ranking fourth in the GLIAC in both scoring (16.5 ppg) and rebounding (7.9 rpg) while standing fifth in the league in field goal percentage (55.8 percent).  She also finished her career ranking among the best in Northwood history in field goals made (489 – fifth), blocked shots (84 – sixth), free throw attempts (605 – first) and free throws made (437 – second).

Northwood finished the season 16-11 overall and reached the GLIAC Tournament for the fourth consecutive year.
