Women's Basketball Drops First Game Of The Season - 61-49 To #14 Tampa

RECAP: Women's Basketball drops their first game of the season, falling to No. 14 Tampa 61-49 Saturday (November 27).
FIRST QUARTER
- NU scored the first four points of the game in an evenly-played first quarter.
- The Spartans held the biggest lead of the half at 15-13 before Tampa eventually took a 17-13 lead at the break.
- Northwood finished the first quarter at 38.5 percent overall (5-13) while going 1-5 from 3-point range (20.0 percent).
- Tampa went 8-18 from the floor (44.4 percent) in the first.
SECOND QUARTER
- The Spartans pushed their lead to 10 early in the second quarter at 25-15.
- Northwood fought back late in the quarter, eventually cutting the Spartans lead to 31-27 at the break.

FOURTH QUARTER
- The Tampa lead stayed in double figures the entire fourth quarter, as the closest the Timberwolves got was 12 in the final 10 minutes.
