Ellie Taylor & Makenzie Todd Named Second Team All-GLIAC

2021-22 Women's Basketball All-GLIAC Teams

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University women's basketball had a pair of student-athletes earn recognition from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Friday (March 4).

Senior guard Ellie Taylor and junior guard Makenzie Todd were each named Second Team All-GLIAC.

Taylor had her best collegiate season at Northwood in her final year, averaging 12.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists all while being the Timberwolves' top perimeter defender. A two-time GLIAC South Division Player of the Week, Taylor finished her career with 1,084 points, which is good for 16th in program history. Her 163 career 3-point field goals made stands fourth at Northwood.

Todd led the balanced Northwood offense in scoring, averaging 13.3 points per game, good for 11th in the GLIAC overall. One of four NU student-athletes to earn GLIAC South Division Player of the Week this season, she ranks third in the GLIAC in 3-point field goals (70) and eighth in the conference in field goals made (131). Todd now has 162 3-point field goals in her career, which is good for fifth in school history.

Northwood finished the season with an 18-10 overall record, good for fifth place overall in the GLIAC.
