RECAP: Women's Basketball opens the 2022-23 season with a hard-fought 92-84 exhibition loss at Eastern Michigan Wednesday (November 2).
GAME STORY
- Northwood trailed 16-10 before finishing the in the opening quarter strong, scoring 13 of the final 20 points to take a 23-20 lead after 10 minutes.
- The Timberwolves opened up their biggest lead a minute into the second, going up 28-20.
- Eastern Michigan was the better team the rest of the half, eventually taking a 45-42 lead at the break.
- The Eagles appeared ready to break the game open in the third quarter, pushing their lead to 65-49 with less than four minutes remaining.
- Northwood fought back the rest of the quarter, however, out-scoring EMU 14-5 the rest of the way to send the game to the fourth with Eastern Michigan leading 70-63.
- The Timberwolves got within four with less than nine minutes remaining in the fourth, but that was a close as they would get the rest of the way.
